OMG OMG!!!! YES, YES, YES!!!!

Does that title sound kind of inappropriate?? Does it sound like I am over-enjoying something??

WELL I AM!!!!!!!!!

You might remember I posted a few months ago an entry about DarkMoon Entertainment. They are a German cosplay group who (I THINK) want to make some kind of mini series. I can't read German, so I'm not entirely sure. But after some time, they have begun to film!! There is a promotional video in their page, I can't embed it here though so here is the link to their teaser VIDEO!!!!

I can't even get past the intro for my "Vlog", and when I tried to make a cosplay... well.. you guys know how it went down, so we have to appreciate the effort put behind this video. The dedication of all girls is evident and hopefully we'll see more of them soon.

I am TOTALLY becoming a "Thegirl-that-plays-Haruka" FAN!!!!!! HAHAHAHahahaha!

English ReDub.

Hey Moonies.

I must admit I'm not really a fan of the English SM Dub, the voices, the editions made and things like "Sailor Moon Says" snippets were kind of uncalled for. I know, I know, there were reasons for all these changes, but, well I grew up on a closely dubbed version and I'm am very fond of both the Spanish and the Japanese ones.



Lisa pointed me to MoonChase's post that leads to a survey that Funimation is conducting in order to know what anime DVDs fans are interested in and the options include the SailorMoon ReDubbed Series.

As I said, I'm really not that fond of the English Dub but I DO think that if they ReDub it, they can do make it a wee bit closer to the original, deliver the complete series to English speaking audiences and.... OF COURSE!, bring the SM community back to life!! The Moon Chasers have an article that asks us to make sure we write in the comments in the survey to use the original Dub Cast instead of newcomers, but I personally disagree, if there will be a new Dub, voices should be closer to the Japanese ones. But then again, what do I know? I didn't grow up on that version so ignore my opinion.

MEMEs!!

Ok, I spend some time on Deviant Art and so do other Moonies who draw, cosplay or love fanart. But I know not everyone visits DA *coughBRADcough*, so I'll start from the beginning.

Deviant Art is basically an art website where each user has their own gallery and can have some exposure, talk to other artists directly, trade and buy art. It's a social site as well with chats, forums and clubs.

In the community, there are these things called MEMEs. It all started out with NYU's Art Meme. She made this kind of... "interview" and you have to DRAW your answers in the spaces provided and then tag someone else. WHOA!!. INSTANT HIT!!.

Since then, other versions of the Meme have appeared but are more focused on other topics, like the NARUTO MEME or the AVATAR Meme or the DRAGON BALL Meme have been around for a while and I've found a couple of SM related ones but never came around to answer one.

Moonie Makeup!!!!

Cycyn is not a girly girl. I HATE MAKE UP. It's horrible, it itches and it suffocates my skin. Sure, there will be a time of my life where I will HAVE to use it, but I love not having to use it just yet.

But Cora... Cora LOVES makeup. She should, she is a makeup artist! HAHaha. She is currently hosting video tutorials on how to do your makeup, but the AWESOME part is that she is making a series of SAILOR MOON INSPIRED MAKEUP!!!!

She basically is taking each Senshi's uniform color scheme and applies the combination to her eye shadows. It actually looks really pretty!

The bad part is: her videos are useful to somebody who actually wears makeup, so to me, they are quite long and boring. The good part is that you can see the finished designs right at the beginning of each tutorial!! YAY!!








I'm totally digging the Luna one. XD

Chibi LoLness XD!

I always love to talk about SM fan artists, cosplayers, animators, and painters because they deserve some attention for their love for the series, effort and dedication.

Well on this post we have a very very special treat!! None other than CHIBI JEN!!!!! Jen is "SailorMoonly" famous for her absolutely ADORABLE Chibi drawings and her Chibiland website. And, as if all her chibi cuteness weren't enough, she now gives us: MOONSTICKS!!

AAAAAAAAAAAHHhhh... Teh boredom can do wonders.

So, what to do when you are at a boring family reunion and there is nothing else to do?? Well, you drag your cousin in law to your room and dress her up as Sailor Moon of course. DUH! Obviously.

HAHHAHAHAHAHHAhahahaa!!!!

SRSLY. What is wrong with me? This is not normal behavior, and NOBODY is supposed to have this much fun doing something this random. xD!



So, I drag her up to the Tower (my room) and start pulling out random stuff out of drawers, old bags and from the back of my closet. I found an old scrap of blue fabric. I tore the red fabric from a pillow I never used, my friend Enis and I started building this cosplay (can you call this cosplay??), securing it with staples, glue, tape, needles, safety pins... ANYTHING!!! Her gloves are actually bandages and her chocker is just a headband. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahaha!!!! MY GOD, this is the best cosplay ever!!! We built this in about and hour or so and it was so much fun.

Then, I remembered I had a broken SM wand somewhere under my bed and TAH-DAH!!!!! A completely improvised SM costume and FAIL video.

Of course she is saying: "I'm Sailor Moon!! In the name of the Moon I'll punish you!"

Say some nice words to our victim, Momo (I call her that cause she's so cute), she really dreaded the idea of dressing up but she couldn't bring herself to be strong and say: "STOP CYCYN!!".

... And of Course Cycyn was having too much fun to care about Momo's feelings. U.U
