Since our friends over at MoonChase already have a "Caption This" contest as well as other forums, I don't think it would be very nice of me to steal their idea, but I WILL steal an idea from Perez Hilton. XD!


Fill in teh Blank!!

Contrary to most games on the SMObss which are based on "facts", this game will be very arbitrary. I alone will decide who the winner is.

Once again, I will rely somebody else's image base, this time it won't be Betty Ann's, now it'll be from SMFFG. Don't hate me Elly!!!! TwT

So it's kind of a "Caption This" contest, only that I will give you a small introduction/guide to start your caption with. Example:


*Mamoru is telling Mina that: _____________________.*


AAAAnd you fill in the blank according to the image I posted. Your phrase doesn't necessarily have to reflect what is actually going on in the scene, you can even insert characters or situations that aren't related to the image at all. Now here are the advantages: There's NO "first one that answers, wins" thing here. You have up to three or four days to think about it and write it down. If I see that visitors are STILL posting answers, I'll extend the deadline. ANYBODY can win this one!!! Of course, the funniest wins ONE point.


- "So how will you determine the funniest one, Cyn?" - Simple. If I laugh a LOT, we have a winner. xDDD!!

- "What if what was funny to you was plain and stupid to me, Cycyn??" - Sorry, that's why it will be totally arbitrary, we all have different sense of humor, if you write something that concurs with mine, you'll win.

- "So, what kind of humor do you like Cycyn??" - Umm, it depends. I'm not really that dark, I'm really light and simple, ICHC never fails to crack me up. xD!!

- "Can I use pop culture or non SM references, like movies or other shows in my captions?" - Sure thing!! Just keep in mind that I may or may not get it, specially things that are TOO local.

- "Why is this post getting so long Cycyn?? I'm tired of reading." - Yesh I know, but I need to be as clear as possible, I don't want any Moonies to get mad, we are all a happy gang. :]

- "I wrote one down but then I came up with a better line, Can I post more than once??" - ABSOLUTELY!! BRING ON THE LOLZ!! One, two, ten, the more you post, better the chances you'll win.

- "Hey, I can't think of a good caption for the image you posted, can I send in an image of my own??" - Ummm...errr... no. It's unfair to the rest of the participants. u.u

- "So if there's only one participant, does he get the point?" - Ummm... Nope. Unlike past contests, I need two or more entries to decide which one is funnier.

- "Remind me. What are the points for and how do they work??" - There are a few games on the SMObss, for each time you win, you will get ONE point. When you get to 5, I will send you a gift (wherever you are). Maybe a drawing, maybe a toy, dunno what the prize is yet.

- "Can you shut up already and post the damn image??" - YESHNESS!!! :x!!

Sailor Moon movie?!...Ooh plz, not again.

Ok. I think that by now I have made my opinions loud and clear on what I think of a SM movie. Just...NO. But I found a list with 2009-2012 movies to be released and/or in production.

The list is in Spanish but Sailor Moon is still in the S area.

Here are the bad news: Hollywood insists on butchering anime. Dragon Ball and Speed Racer both flopped BIG TIME in the US, they have yet to come up with new ideas which means they will still have to rely on 80s cartoons, remakes, popular books, comics, video games, and of course, popular anime. The recipe for big bucks: Just produce something that already has an audience. OH WAIT!! Sailor Moon has a ton of Moonies!!!...right?!?!?.........


OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!!


The good thing is that this list, even though it's throwing out some names of movies that WILL be produced, is by no means "official", there isn't even a year or source of the rumor mentioned, so I think I will let this just blow by. Now I know many of you are thinking: "They've been spreading this rumor for years and years, just forget about it already!" - Yes, I know, I have mentioned it countless times on the SMObss as well, but, srsly, any piece of "news" calls for my attention. XD!!

But that's just Cycyn. What about you guys? Are you guys excited about the idea of a movie?? Consider that they MAY spend a lot of money and make something cool like Transformers, OR consider they might have no interest and just produce something fast and easy for the quick buck, like DB.

Anime style drawings.

I think the SMObss is beginning to become more a fandom collection, instead of a SM "original" stuff site. But what can I do? There's NO NEW "original stuff", plus I love these fan made things. It's algo great know that I am not the only crazy Moonie out there!!! xD!!

Today we are going to talk about Aeroblivion, another die-hard Moonie!! Obsessed Moonies FTW! XD!!! He is making tutorials on how to draw Sailor Moon in anime style on his You Tube channel, and even though they are pretty basic (no coloring, back grounds or detailing), it's still fun to watch, I was imagining this is what it would look like when Ikuko Ito was drawing the animation. XD!






I also like these because there is NO REFERENCE used, he draws from memory and he actually memorized all the details from every suit. Now, I know that sounds simple, but I must confess that sometimes when I draw I forget what shape goes in the choker (a star, a moon, a star and moon, a heart and moon??) or sometimes I also forget -shame on me- the order of the colored layers of the Eternal skirt and I find myself having to looking back and forth at reference.

Anyway, just thought it was interesting.

A late Entry.

Well this one is kind of late in the day and it's off topic, so DOUBLE FAIL, but I rather post this than nothing. :]

So, July 20th. The 40th Anniversary of guys who called themselves astronauts said they landed on the Moon. Really?? Did they really land on the Moon??? If so, why did they bring back just rocks?? Where are the pieces of rubble and ruins of the fallen Silver Millenium?!?!

Anyway, congrats to the NASA for proving us wrong, there is no life on the Moon and no ruins of ancient dynasties. I hope you feel good about yourselves!!! *shakefist*

I lie. I really love space stuff and NASA is a great window to teh outer spaceness.

Just came by really fast to post a link to something kinda cool.
I have NO IDEA what language this is in, from the main page I'm guessing its Malaysian. Anyways, this page holds weekly Character Redesign contests, and YAY! they recently redesigned Sailor Moon!!!

The game goes like this:

I will look up a random image from a random episode. ANY episode ANY season (it'll be from The Oracle's image base, just 'cause it so awesome. What you have to do is easy: GUESS THE EPISODE.

You must provide as much info as possible:

EXAMPLE: Sailor Moon SS; Episode 130 - Protect Mom's Dream! Use the New Deadly Weapons of Double Moon; Characters: Ikuko, Hawk's Eye; Scene - Hawk's Eye is trying to make Ikuko think she is his long lost mother. Monster names MUST be included (if specified).

Haaaaa...!!!! Well in celebrity magazines like "InStyle" they always have little sections where they show pictures of famous people wearing designer clothes and the author of the column tells you how to achieve the look of the artist for less than they paid at a designer store.

It has nothing to do with Sailor Moon. I know this..... BUT.....

I was browsing through a site called Polyvore that is basically a place where they post a stylish pic and show items that can help achieve the "look" and where to buy them.

AAAAANnnnddddd... I stumbled upon -you guessed it!!- a SM look set. BWAAHHAAHA!!!!

The Terrible TWOs for the SMObss!!!!!!

Well, they say that children in their twos are overactive, destructive and give parents lots of headaches, but also, it's the essential age where they learn about the world.

So if the SMObss were my child,then it means I will have an extremely vexatious year. Totally looking forward to it!!! Should be fun XD!!!

Anyway, here we are, second anniversary of the blog, and in the last year The SMObss had added a few new features such as:

-SM vs. Real Life
-Guess that episode!
-SM Cola
-The Price is ALMOST Right!
-Moonie Tweets
-Live Cycyn

in addition the the previously existing:

-SM Room of Doom.
-I saw it and didn't buy it on Ebay.

And a couple of thing have YET to come (*cofVLOGcof*)

The blog has had it's ups and downs, for example, I had to put the blog on hiatus for a month or so, which was kind of sad (for me), but alas, Serenity's Moonshine pulled me to her gravitational orbit once again!!! Yay!!! And also visiting moonies posted lovely supportive comments and I was so happy to see you guys appreciate the blog. Actually thanks to you, I had the strength to come back! SO MAINLY, the SMOBss can even HAVE a second anniversary thanks TO YOU!!!!!!!!!! YES YOU.

As a first year resolution I decided I would try to tone down the self-centeredness and that was a major FAIL. I can't help it! I draw, I tweet, I post videos, I write, I chat.... u.u Sowyyyyy!!!!! But I always try to keep it SM themed.

Ohh and there was also a slight change in the organization. It's not a new layout, in fact, I really love the logo and colors, so I dunno if I will change the layout at all, but I guess it might have to change in the future if I ever make my ambition come true and make the SMObss as cool as the Official Star Wars Site. Like I said: BABY STEPS, and this baby is barely beginning to crawl. xD!

As it is a festive occasion, I usually commemorate by drawing stuff, but I think it will take me a couple of more days to finish it up. I asked on Twitter what I should draw and Vanderde said Tux Kamen. Brad suggested a Moonlight Knight, but I wouldn't be able to draw a his pretty face. :1

Wow, and not in a good way.

After a couple of months, I decided to check my @sailormoon.com mail, and what do I find?? A completely abandoned page that led me to another page where I had to scroll down a list to find the domain name.



I mean, how sad that it has come to this. A name down a list. And they freaking own the .com!!!! SAILORMOON.COM!!!!!




Ohhh, for the love of all that's Moonie!! They don't even have a FULL NAME displayed on the page!! It's just so...... HUMILIATING!!

Sadly, this is a sign of it's decreased popularity. U.U

I don't ever want to have to see this again. PLEASE MOONIES!! WE'VE GOT TO HELP MOONCHASE WITH THEIR CAMPAIGN!!!! We all want SM to come back into the public eye and our best shot is to convince Funimaton that we want it re-dubbed!

The guys over at MoonChase have put together a very extensive and detailed list of original participants and other viable VAs that could return to the possible English re-dub and they've included YouTube links that illustrate each actor's contribution to the series. I recommend that you read the post that also includes staff info that help bring the whole thing to life!. Our decisions and opinions in the survey must be well informed choices.

After you have read all the info, please proceed to:

Ok so that's done. Now what??

PHASE TWO: Letters from Moonspace!

I'll admit I have procrastinated on this part a bit. We have write a letter!! This letter is to let Funimation know why we want the series back. MoonChase has listed a few recommendations on how to make a well-structured letter that may grab their attention.

Once you have read the suggestions and written your letter you must join the MoonChase Forum. Login and follow THIS LINK in order to obtain the address to where it must be sent.


If this is all we need to do to bring SM back, well HELL, that was easy, painless and CHEAP! Hahaa!! It's not like we have to take a plane, rally outside the Funimation premises, hold up standards, banners and pitchforks, or camp-out in the middle of the street, or eat out of cans, or pee in the...... YOU GET THE IDEA! XDDDDD!!!!
