I LOVED writing these posts!!! To close up this "Cosplay Month" I think we just found the cutest cosplayer yet!!

Cosplay Month: Usagi Chiba

Our next super awesome cosplayer is a girl who gaoes by the nickname "Usagi Chiba".... yes, totally unique. I know!! HAhahaa!! But other than her nickname there are other reasons why I love this Moonie. I really enjoy watching this girl's costumes not just beacuse she's so cute, but also because she is such a devoted Sailor Moonie who thought that just dressing up wasn't enough. Usagi ( no idea what her real name is) went on to make almost every single costume in almost every single stage of the manga, anime, artbooks and PGSM!!

I love devoted Moonies!!

Isn't this last picture of Eternal Sailor Moon Manga version absolutely breathtaking!? ... I'm not talking about the quality of the picture but of the costume ensemble. Her totally cute mini skirts and gloves and suit. Look at her wings!! They even have the "wing piercings" (I know they're not piercings but I always imagined they were). LURVE.

Cosplay Month: Sailor Moon -ish Wedding Dresses

I have talked about my fascination with Usagi in her Princess form before, and I have also posted many photos that make me really excited because they are "look alikes". We now know that Naoko inspiration were real life wedding dresses, and so I present to you, a small collection of look alikes I have accumulated in my journeys around the web. It's not exactly a cosplay post but kind of related...

Hope you enjoy!

Cosplay Month: Yunnale

Ahhhh Yunnale. I really love these girls. Lina and Ale are a team who always cosplay as a pair and make super cool costumes. These girls live actually in Mexico City... I tried to meet up with them but we never could, and we've mailed each other but you know Cycyn.... PROCRASTINATOR *points to self*

Now about their Moon/Galaxia Costumes, they look stunning. Lina's Eternal Sailor Moon is SOOOOOO beautiful!! SO BEAUTIFUL. I love that her skirt is super short (like it should be) and the shape of the upper part is pretty close to perfect.

Ale's Galaxia costume is SCARY... Scary is good. I actually fear her in that costume...HAHAhaha. Ale, the seamstress is quite skillful as she made BOTH SM and her suits.

What really impresses me about these girls is their whole journey with these costumes. Ale and Lina participated in Nagoya's World Cosplay Summit in 2007 and in order to get there they went through THREE remakes of the costumes (Ale sewed all 6 costumes!) so they had the best version in the contest. They perfected their costumes with contact lenses and other props, but what I found the most exciting and beautiful is that they put lights on their props and con Lina's forehead moon, so the Moon shines!!!! Wow!! Here is a replica of the act they played at the WCS2007. Also please notice the OUTSTANDING ChibiChibi doll. I actually thought this doll was some kind of "official" product because it looks so legitimate! All of their efforts are detailed Here in Spanish, but the pictures are fun to look at too.

In the end, they won 3rd place, which is quite good, considering they were going up against Korean, Japanese and European cosplayers who are usually INCREDIBLE artists.

Cosplay Month: Jumplove

Well there isn't much info on Jumplove, I've been having a hard time looking for this beautiful Chinese cosplayer... there were a couple of her pics on random anime blogs but they always cropped out her website so all I saw were these incredible photos that came -apparently- from the thin air.... until!!!!!!!........... Cosplay.com came to the rescue..!!!!!!!

Why do people do that?? Why post awesome pictures and not mention where they came from?? I try never to post ANYTHING unless there is a link I can provide... it's only fair.

Anyway. Jumplove is pure ETHERIALITY. Don't want to go into lame descriptions, the photos speak for themselves, and OH MY, do they say such beautiful things!

You can take a look at the full set of pictures HERE and visit Jumplove's blog..and if anyone can read chinese, then you already have more info on her than I do. XDDDDD

Cosplay Month: Yes PLZ, Milady!

Milady aka Fleur Delice is a French artist who looks to me like she has tons of fun cosplaying. I dunno how I jumped to that conclusion by just looking these photos since they are barely smiling, but what can I say? I so want to join them!!!

What I also really enjoy is how she rendered her vision for the odangos in a different way... the pigtails are really curly, giving it more body and making the overall look of the costume very sweet. Also, I like the fact that she is trying to imitate the look of the ARTBOOKS, and not so much of the anime. She has mentioned that she's not a huge SM fan but enjoys this costume a lot... and it's okay that she's not a Moonie, she totally rocks the cosplay!!

You can see these and more pics at her cosplay.com page and her website (DOWN ATM)

Cosplay Month: Francesca Dani!

I can't believe I've never written an entry about Francesca Dani before!!

Well, actually I CAN believe it, I've been procastinating for YEARS!... :p

Francesca is a pretty famous and talented girl, who, as far as I know, actually makes a living of cosplaying, and one of her most famous costumes is.. well... Sailor Moon! HAhaha!! She participated (not sure if she won though) in the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya in 2006 and since has dressed her way up to Cosplay Stardom!!! Ahhh the American Otaku dream... XD!

Now she travels around the world being all cool in her awesome costumes. She rarely uses her SuperS costume anymore. When she came to Mex a few years ago, I thought that there was no way she would wear it... and surprise surprise.... she did. She's only worn it thrice, and I missed it! Damn it!!

Anyway luckily she had a photo shoot taken for CURE Magazine and she took other pics on her own.

Wow. Look at that craftmanship!! Look at her bow! Her boots! Her gloves! Her HAIR! The overall SHAPE!!!! This here my friends, is pure awesomeness!! I would normally hate on the latex-y material she used, but not this time, this time I'm sold!!

These photos were found here, and you can visit Francesca Dani's website or her Cosplay Page.
